Getting a consequent and reliable logging system into you domino environment.

I do not have enough fingers to count the numerous different logging solutions that I have been involved in during the last decade. We have used the normal agent-log, writing our own error-trapping and handling. Even tried to get up the log4j (which I find a bit too complex even in a regular JAVA environment). There have been all sorts of approaches and everyone has worked fine for it’s purpose, but they have all tend to be a bit specialized for the current client and/or application/system.

I got hinted about the OpenLog initiative over at openNTF and will certainly give it a try next time I have a few hours unoccupied.

OpenLog is definitely the way to go. It’s so easy to use and captures all the information you might need. Plus, the price is hard to beat. Once you start using it, you will be hard pressed to give it up.
